Summary
A touching gift. A shocking truth. Can this psychic sleuth solve a decade-old murder?
Mitzy Moon is happy to leave her painful past buried. But a thoughtful present turns her world upside down and forces her to abandon Ghost-ma and her fiendish feline to search for answers in the Southwest. Turns out her mom’s death was no accident, and proving it could be the last thing she does…
Local sheriff Erick Harper wants Mitzy to have a loving remembrance of her mother. But after calling in a favor to get the dead woman’s personal effects, he uncovers an unexpected skeleton hiding in the evidence. And now that the cat’s out of the bag, he can’t stop her from risking everything to dig up the clues.
Mitzy won’t rest until she slams her mama’s killer behind bars. And Erick is desperate to bring her back to Pin Cherry Harbor in one piece.
Can Mitzy deliver some Wild West justice, or will she bite the dust in the Arizona desert?

A cold case solved makes for the best yet
I think I have found my new favourite book in this series, unless the next book is just as good of course. Mitzy Moon is such a great character, so I was really glad the author decided to make this book about her and the big event that changed her life, well okay discovering she could talk to her ghost-ma was a big change but you know what I mean. Mitzy might not be in Pin Cherry Harbour for long in this book as she goes off to investigate her mother's murder but the rest of the gang still have there part to play. However Pyewacket the cat steals the show and makes for a great sidekick. I joined the series at book five (and have been hooked ever since) but I have enjoyed everyone, so I went back and I just finished reading book one. The timing for this book was just perfect with it still fresh in my memory, don't get me wrong you don't need to have read or listened to the other books to enjoy but it certainly helped. The author and by extension the author hasn't lost any of her charm or humour and it's still as fresh and entertaining as the first book. The mystery was good and I liked how it all unfolded. Can't wait to start the next book.
To hot to handle sheriff Erick Harper is the perfect boyfriend, especially when trying to give Mitzy a little something to remember her mother by, he discovers the accident that killed her was no accident. Mitzy and Erick head to Arizona to reopen a very cold case but when they get there it's only to find a cover up and somebody will go to any lengths to keep it that way. Could the police be involved? And as an informant just what information was her mum passing on to the police? Not sure who to trust, Mitzy will need her friends help, her own memories and all her skills if she wants to solve the most important case of her life.
I liked the narrator and to me she is the voice of Mitzy Moon and her friends and I couldn't imagine anybody else doing a better job.

Wonderful
This is the audio version of Tracks and Flashbacks. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Mitzy's exploits. Trixie Silvertale makes me laugh out loud. Coleen Marlo really brings the characters to life. She makes you want to listen and listen.
Mitzy finds out that her mother was murdered and not died by accident.
Her and "too hot to handle" Sheriff Harper leave Pin Cherry Harbour to visit Sedona, Arizona to find the killer and to make sure justice is served.
Another brilliant installment by Trixie Silvertale.
Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

My favorite book in this incredibly awesome series
I can’t even imagine this series with another narrator. She does it so well, and I love listening to her! This time she took us to:
A cold case. Ice cold. Or is it? Will Mitzy stir up trouble?
Silvertale managed to deliver her best book yet, and that’s saying something, because the others were already so great! This book touched my heart in so many ways; it had me laughing, it had me crying, it had humor, it had depth, it had layers; it had everything! Some parts were so moving, so beautiful, that I couldn’t help but cry. Other parts were laugh out loud funny, I laughed out loud so many times! And the rest in between had so many subtle and not-so-subtle moments of humor that I smiled throughout the whole book. When I wasn’t crying, that is; and those moments were all related to Mitzy losing her Mama when she was 11 years old. A very impressive story. Mitzy’s extrasensory perception makes the whole story even more interesting.
And look at Mitzy, being all selfless and stuff! She has come a long way and as a reader, you can’t help but love her to bits.
The mystery was great, too. A multi-layered story kept me interested and on the edge of my seat!
This is a book that you really cannot miss out on! It deserves 10 stars! The author really outdid herself!
Favorite quote: “Pyewacket bobs his head in a frighteningly human way, and I find myself wondering whether he’s more cogent than some of the guys I dated.”

The best one yet
This series always delivers a great read and this is the best one yet. Mitzy and Eric visit Arizona to investigate her mother murder 10 years earlier. Cover ups and murder attempts greet them, and Mitzy is sharing a room with Eric, will she succumb to his charms and pecs. A really fun story but with a emotional heart. The usual characters all appear despite the distance from home, loved the video call scenes. Coleen Malo turns in another perfect performance. I am loving these books and cannot wait for the next audio. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and am leaving a voluntary honest review
