Healthy Aging

I recently listened to this book and it has truly been a game-changer for me as I navigate my 40s.The book offers two valuable parts: one focusing on fitness and another on nutrition.

One part that resonated with me was "Developing a Mindset for Success." It talked about how our mindset affects our health journey. This hit home because I had always believed that getting fit was too late for me after 40. But this audiobook changed my perspective. "You Are Stronger Than You Know" is another chapter that boosted my confidence. It showed how strength training is vital, even as we age. The audiobook explained that staying active not only improves physical strength but also brings mental clarity and motivation.

Excellent and Informative

Great audiobooks with excellent and useful content presented in a clear way that's easy to follow. And great narration too. These books are a reminder that just because we are ageing doesn't mean it has to be doom and gloom for our bodies and minds. The author does a fantastic job and after listening I have a new sense of motivation as well as a positive direction of what I need to do to get my body in shape again. I particularly loved the section about how to become a more mindful eater, and the fitness and nutrition plan was a super bonus. Highly recommend!

AN INFORMATIONAL GUIDE!!

This is a fantastic resource for people who want to be healthier. It explained that to get stronger and feel younger, even if you have to add an exercise routine in your life. The book gives good advice on how to start and enjoy exercising. It also gives a special plan for a whole week to help you get going. The book doesn't just talk about exercise, it also talks about how to take care of your mind and feelings. It even helps you understand how food affects you and gives tips on eating better. This book tells us that we can be healthier no matter how old we are. The exercises and ideas are based on research. It's nice to know that we can enjoy exercising instead of dreading it. The book helps us understand how our thoughts and feelings are connected to being healthy. I also learned how our eating affects us, especially when we were kids. I appreciate the author for such an amazing work. Highly recommended.

Great for beginners

This is a great book for people over 40 even if you’ve never done exercised before. The book gives fitness and nutrition plan, and lots of practical advice on healthy eating, managing stress and preparing healthy meals.

The Ultimate Combo for 40s+

Most people over 40s can tend to be worried about their weight or attribute it to midlife crisis. Sometimes they may face other challenges such as lost muscle, and strength, and decreased mobility and flexibility. This book provides decent solutions for those challenges through seven foundations for those over 40s to get the best of their lives, stay strong, lean and healthy.

The perfect exercise and eating habits combo!

I listened to this on my daughters account and love it so I wanted to make sure she reviews it for me:

This is such a brilliantly laid out two book bundle. Total fitness after forty takes a common sense, holistic approach to a healthy lifestyle but showing the importance of 7 different fitness foundations that when combined into your weekly routine will turn you into a strong, flexible, mobile and agile person as you enter middle age and beyond. As we age we simply can't just keep doing one or two types of exercise and expect us to get maximum results. There is a nutrition chapter in this first book but 'Breaking bad eating habits' takes a far more in depth look into how we have adopted bad habits during childhood and then taken them into adulthood. It's a book of education, self reflection and taking action!

Both these great books will give the tools you need to become an incredibly healthy person but taking self responsibility is also paramount in order to get those results. It's given me a new lease of life and shown me that making lot's of little changes make all the difference.

Fantastic Book!

The audible " Total Fitness and Nutrition After 40" I found to contain great tips for keeping fit and eating a healthy and nutritious diet. A lot of the exercises are easy to practice and maintain. I found them quite straightforward and would be doing them more often. The results are beginning to show. Highly recommended.
