Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The latest electric thriller in Tom Clancy's number one best-selling Jack Ryan series.
Jack Ryan - out to avenge the murder of an old friend - finds himself in deep trouble fast....
During a well-earned break, Jack Ryan Jr runs into old flame Renee Moore in a scenic Barcelona café.
But Renee is not so pleased to see him. Distracted, she says she's waiting for someone and can't talk. She promises to call him later and sends him out onto the street.
Which is when the bomb goes off.
There's nothing he can do to save Renee. But as he cradles her, she utters one last word with her final breath: 'Sammler'.
Who did she mean? What did she know? And what trouble had Renee got herself into?
When every thread Jack pulls threatens to make the situation ever more dangerous, he realises he's stumbled into an international conspiracy that might be more than even he can handle.
Because Renee isn't the first to die. And she won't be the last....

I enjoyed it.
It has a good story but is a little fragmented. I get a bit fed up with Jack Jr going off and doing his own thing all the time. What about the rest of the team?

Firing point
Story was ok…please can we have more of the team involved in the story. Jack going rogue and doing his own thing is getting a bit old!

Another great novel with both the Ryan's.
What a brilliant story full of action in a typical Clancy novel. Jack Jr once again saves the world from disaster. A great story that twists and turns keeping you wanting more. 5+ Stars.

Disappointed
Sadly not up to Mr Clancy legacy.
almost like a lock down story. All the usual characters are missing
Read beautifully though....

Lacking story, to much advertising!!!!
Wow I have never listened to a book with so much blatant advertising!!!! I get it’s an extra revenue stream but this was just to much!
Story was ok but most definitely not on a level similar to Tom Clancy unfortunately, lazy research, to far fetched, to focused on Jack, and seriously every women he meets had to die a horrible death!!? Ridiculous

Too political and a bit incredulous
The writing is very rich and descriptive but there was too much politics.
Also even allowing for dramatic license, the son of POTUS and extent of technical villainy, stretched credibility too far.
I liked it but I don’t think I’ll listen to another one.

A bit Predictable
A good story with good characters but a bit predictable towards the end. I enjoyed the up to date aspects relating to current technology.

Usual Clancy nonsense
I used to really like the Ryan stories which were always daft and so biased to all things American.
But the last few are so pathetic.
