Summary

When life gives you lemons, drink limoncello.

Taryn's trip of a lifetime is finally happening. She's saved money, researched, planned, and created an itinerary that will allow her to travel Italy...and finally tell her best friend that she's in love with her. But those plans are ruined when she wakes up alone, her crush gone. Her plans did not include being alone and stranded in Milan.

Now Taryn's dream vacation is a nightmare.

Enter Holly, a fellow traveler: young, full of life, and comfortable traipsing off the beaten path. Holly feels a connection with Taryn and wants to salvage her trip. After all, they're in freaking Italy! But their radically different travel styles and age differences make for rough terrain.

Together, they boldly go into unexplored territories of the heart, and may just discover love.

To Boldly Go

I really enjoyed this book, "To Boldly Go." The title fit the storyline perfectly. The author Em Stevens choice of phase from an iconic TV show and plugged it into the adventure Taryn and Holly was about to embark on, traveling throughout Europe.

There were moments throughout the storyline that I struggled with Taryn's whining and complaining but as the story continued, she begin to allow herself to enjoy the now and then.
The author dropped a few surprises along the way and at the end of the story that actually made me cry.

This was my 1st time listening to narrator Missy Cambridge read, and I enjoyed her voice very much. I recommend others to listen to, "To Boldly Go."

cinque tera

October 2018 my own visit to this beautiful little town
First impressions of people are never enough to form an opinion , the basis of this story, I felt for both MCs loving to plan but also impulsive, though always turn left, I like em Stevens writing for her humour and this has plenty, but also both are broken and it's very sad in places.
Italy is my favourite country and I went with my sons for the history, but also a relaxing few days and autumn was a great time to visit. Also, foreign country = foreign food, try it.

Great FF Romance

I dont listen to FF romances very often, but this was a good one. I think the story was just as much about individual growth, healing, and learning to embrace ones self as it was about the characters feelings for each other. Both Taryn and Holly learn a lot about themselves and happen to find love on the way. The romance was subtle and it was mostly sweet as we follow their journey and emotional healing in their adventures through Europe.

The narration and character voice differentiation were excellent. The narrator's voice was pleasant to listen to and she really captured the differences in each of the character personalities.

Wonderful Story & Adventure! Great Audible Listen🎧

This was a nice change from my usual genres. Em Stevens wrote a wrote a wonderful story of two young women who met by chance while traveling in Italy. Each had their own reasons for their travels but the trip turned a different direction after they met. Great character development, I loved how they grew as they found out more about each other and in turn themselves. Lots of emotional moments but fun ones too. Love the Star Trek references in the story and title too. Thank you Em Stevens for the great story and for taking me to Italy with your detailed descriptions of the places visited. 🇮🇹

Missy Cambridge does a fabulous job narrating the story and bringing the characters to life. She performed the voices of all the different characters, switching back & forth effortlessly keeping the story in a perfect flow. Parla anche italiano perfetto!! Thank you for a great listen!
