Summary
BookFest 2022 Spring Gold Medal winner: Romance
BookFest 2022 Spring Silver Medal winner: Love Stories and Romance
Time stamps.
Our life is marked by them. Significant milestones to the seemingly mundane. All of them have a place. A purpose. Moments and chapters stacking on each other, building scars and memories. Creating stories that are only ours to tell.
But those stamps are finite, pre-determined. And eventually our allotment runs out.
From the first moment Roth laid eyes on Laurel, he was done for. She is sarcastic and clumsy, and the most whimsically alluring creature he has ever met. And as he sat across the table from her in a café on their first date, he fell head over heels in love. He couldn't imagine his life without her. Their romance is a whirlwind. Their love deep and unrivaled.
But life doesn’t often follow our pre-scripted playbook, and after 10 short years together, Laurel receives devastating, life-altering news that will change everything.
Time Stamps is a heartwarming and heartbreaking epic love story about life, hope, and loss. Told in the past through Laurel's eyes and the present through Roth's, you will embark on a beautiful, intimate journey into a couple's lives, where ultimately what matters most is not only how we live each day, but the memories we leave behind.

Emotional but Powerful Story of Love and Loss
Wow....just wow!!!
Time Stamps is an emotional, heartbreaking, inspirational and poignant story of love and life and loss. It highlighted the importance of embracing each and every day and remembering to find joy in the little things, and to not take anyone or anything for granted.
Roth and Laurel had an epic romance. Roth seemed smitten with Laurel from the very beginning and he just seemed to get her. Laurel lacked confidence and was nervous around Roth and she had some quirky personality traits, and Roth embraced it all and just knew how to interact with her in a way that was easy and made her relax. They were like two halves of a whole. I loved the development and growth of their relationship.
Unfortunately, they were given devastating news that would change the course of their future. Time Stamps is told from each of their perspectives, though Laurel's is from the past, and Roth's is from the present. It was an interesting way for their story to be told, but I did like getting both persepectives and feel like it added more depth. The book focuses on the choices that Roth and Laurel made after being given such life-altering news and the memories made since that fateful day.
This book was extremely emotional....all the tissues were needed to help get me through, I'm not going to lie. While it was so sad it times, there was something still so beautiful in the amount of love Roth and Laurel had for each other. Everyone deserves to feel that level of love, and it made Roth super swoony in my eyes. I think the author did a wonderful job with this delicate story line.
The audiobook was really well done. I think it truly helped bring out all of the complex emotions of this story even more than if I had just read the book. I feel like Austenne Gray did a fantastic job bringing Laurel's character to life, and I think Bryant Walker did an exceptional job as Roth. Both are new to me narrators and I would highly, highly recommend them. I very much look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
Though I wasn't expecting such a deep read/listen, I think this is one of the best books I have exerienced in 2023. Just remember to have the tissues handy. PinkFlamingoProductions TheFlockVIPReviewTeam

Beautifully narrated Tearjerker! ❤️😢❤️
For some obscure reason I thought this book was about time travel and loving K.L. Kreig's writing, I dived in blind to be brought up short in the prologue!! How wrong I was!
This is one of the best books I have read and most probably will be my 2024 bestie! It is, however, tragic with no HEA and deals with very hard topics, all of which I personally have gone through, so empathise completely.
It is such a beautifully story of Laurelei aged 28 who is socially awkward, feels inadequate and unloved. By a stroke of serendipity, she meets Roth Warren Keswick aged 29 who is instantly smitten by her "whimiscally alluring" nature and takes her to places she never thought possible and by this I mean, puts all her pieces together, makes her feel truly cherished, makes her stronger and ultimately sees her through all her best and worst days that life has to offer.
It is a heartachingly beautiful journey of love, forgiveness, acceptance and endurance; and the writing was perfect. I literally couldn't put it down and the message is ultimately live a full life with no regrets and don't put off anything until tomorrow!
…”the fact is we are racing against Time. It’s a race we all run, whether we actively participate or not. And she is fast and she is cunning and she has an unfair advantage. And—spoiler alert—she always, always…always edges you out at the finish line.”
The Epilogue was beautifully drawn, and extremely thought provoking. For those entering this journey, ensure you have a BIG box of tissues at the ready.
The #dualnarration was sublime by new to me narrators #BryantWalker and #AustenneGray who got all the emotions absolutely spot on.

An emotional rollercoaster you won't want to stop
This story in audiobook was a wild emotional ride! Roth and Laurel's love story is beautifully chaotic, with the past-present narration hitting all the feels. The author weaves joy, tears, and belly laughs seamlessly. The characters, especially Roth, are like your best bookish friends. Listening to Bryant Walker and Austenne Grey narrate is a whole mood – they breathe life into every word, making you ugly cry one moment and laugh out loud the next. The quotes about love and life are spot-on and hit you right in the heart. This audiobook is an emotional rollercoaster you won't want to get off. Time well spent!

Emotional listen!
First, let me say, have the tissues ready for this one. It's got moments that brought even me to tears and I rarely cry during a book. Is it because it's sad? Yes, my heart hurt through parts. It is unfair? Absolutely. Is it an incredible love story? By far one of the best. Laurel and Roth met in the most normal of circumstances. Falling in love and getting married is the best of all worlds, but what hits them next is life changing. Dealing with a fatal illness is gut wrenching, but what these two had, the love glue I would call it to hold them together is what brings light to book. Switching from past to present, KL Kreig gives a look at how these two lived and loved and the present given to Roth in the end is priceless. Yes, you too will cry, but the listen is well worth the love. Give it a try.
Bryant Walker and Austenne Grey bring out all the emotions for this one. I was smiling and happy, and scared and crying throughout the entire story. Each pulled on my heartstrings, but never had me giving up on the book. I needed to know how it ended, and I credit these two for keeping me engaged in every part. It's a fantastic story and incredible performance.

Heartbreaking 💔
It took a while for me to listen to this book because it evokes so many emotions. It’s an epic love story with tears and a trip down memory lane that it’s just so tender and raw. The narration does it justice.

A Beautiful & Moving Story! Amazing Narration🎧
This book tore me apart like no other, and after just losing one of my closest friends to cancer, and was on that journey with her from the moment of her diagnosis, I was not sure if I could get through the story. I pushed myself forward, realizing this story is more about living than dying and I can honestly say I see my friend in this story, her name was not Laurel but I saw her in Laurel. And I even saw some Roth Warren Keswick in my friend’s husband, who, like Roth, would have moved the earth for his wife if he could and even switch places because he did not want to live a life without her. KL Kreig created a beautiful love story, the characters are realistic and relatable, ones that you can not help but care about and even fall for. This story alternates timelines and points of view, we get Laurel’s POV telling when the two first meet and then Roth in the present time. The story captivated my attention the entire time and tugged at my heartstrings, too. And the storytelling and descriptive details take you alongside the characters, having you join them for their journey, experiencing everything they do, and you could feel the love they had for each other, the heartbreak and the courage. The writing, plot and world building in this book are phenomenal, as are the character growth and development. KL Kreig, thank you for this beautiful and meaningful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, KL Kreig cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Bryant Walker and Austenne Grey did a fantastic job portraying and humanizing the characters, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable. Walker nailed it as Roth, grasping every aspect of his personality, from his youthful and fun loving side to his caring and then grief stricken side. Grey took on Laurel’s role courageously, also grasping every aspect of her personality, including her strength and determination. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
