A life of Drudgery
This is the story of two childhood friends who each envy the life of the other
They meet in adverse circumstances I later years after the paths of each have been very different. Whilst a story it shows how life can take many turns, Not a predictable or ad soft to end as most of this authors work but just as captivating

Very powerful book.
I am a big fan of this authors writing, this is the first book I ever read by her and decided to re visit it. This was a book about two old friends Beth and Susan, both of them have had very different lives. Beth is a successful lawyer however she's very closed off due to events in her past that come out during the story. Susan is a woman who spent all of her life caring for others. The two women re connect when Beth is called to represent her and realises who she is. It turns out that despite the crimes committed that these two women re connecting turns out to be a sort of healing specially for Beth. This is a really well written book and the characters were well developed. Susan was made the way she was by the years of strain and stress but I have to say her cencerity and honesty was clear and despite her situation she cared more about others. This author is very good at producing good stories with characters that are well drawn out. I felt that the ending was also very plessent and that susan was able to help Beth get over her past.

Gripping story
This was a sad story of 2 young girls who go down different paths in their lives only to be brought together under very disturbing and emotional circumstances. The narration is good and i found it really easy to listen to.
