where you have depression or not read this like all things knowing is half the fight and being able to understand accommodate and also help you yes you spot what could happen ahead of time is a hella useful tool as always prevention is more useful than the cure but if you know how to cure and advise then at least you can do both for you and others "if you have the spoons to do so" *whispers* your not obligated to.

Really helpful
To be honest I’m in a huge depressive cycle (for the millionth time) and this book has raised my hope of one day being able to fight depression off before it eats me alive. There is a LOT of swearing but this isn’t an issue for me, I have a sailors mouth and it makes it more realistic for me to listen to.
I’m listening to all of them on here- thanks Audible for putting them in the included section.

Very Helpful
I listened to this whilst in the throes of yet another depressive episode. Usually everything irritates me when I’m in one but amazingly this didn’t - at all! I like the fact she has a potty mouth, I do too. Most of the advice I’ve already heard and practiced but some other down to earth advice I haven’t come across. Many thanks for providing this book for free.

Somewhat useful
I thought the use of profanity was really unnecessary and detracted overall from the content.

Interesting content but brief
Very interesting but very brief overlook about depression. Definitely intrigued to seek out more of the author's work. The swearing was actually quite funny, and summed up how I'm feeling at the moment whilst battling depression.

Mildly helpful
Rather dull and lots of words saying very little. Probably about six useful sentences that you could take away and work with.

Great book too much unnecessary swearing
Fantastic book. Totally love it... well except the swearing. Harper gets down to the nitty gritty of mental illness, brain dysfunction, the common misdiagnosis of depression and (what I love the most) the importance of nutrition, cbt and other modern tools from the standard armamentarium. Yes beyond just using pharmaceuticals to heal the mind.
She gives root causes, points out some solutions and also directs you to organisations that can guide/help. I'm not incredulous, but I am in awe. I endorse this book except for the swearing, Lol.
