About this listen
From New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg comes a standalone contemporary romance about trusting fate and finding yourself again.
Jack Sutton was the man I didn’t want to need.
His know-it-all attitude. His annoying suggestions. His outlook on life.
He was determined to help me while I had resolved to figure it out on my own.
But he taught me things I’d forgotten.
How to trust. How to believe in myself. Who I was.
The problem?
I went and fell in love with him.
Tatum Knox was the disaster I should have walked away from.
Her ruined reputation. Her failing business. Her chaotic life.
She hated me at first sight and yet intrigued me all at the same time.
I was only supposed to be there six months.
I was supposed to use that time to make amends for things I’d done wrong.
Instead I fell in love with her.
They say it’s better to have loved and lost, than not to have loved at all. Does that hold true when the love is based on a lie to begin with?
(THEN YOU HAPPENED is a STANDALONE enemies to lovers, small town romance. Full-length at one hundred and seven thousand words)

Time fades all scars. Even the ones we can't see.
This book was intense. These two couldn't decide if their connection was hot or cold.
"Then why do you always call me Knox?"
"Because it reminds me that you're another man's."
Honestly there was something about these two that just really worked for me. Horses, stubborn widows and hot ranchers... what's not to love?
Tate's had a terrible time since she left home in the name of love with her now-dead husband and the strength in her was brought to life by Grace Grants amazing performance. Brian Pallino as Jack Sutton was the perfect combination with K Bromberg's story. Jack shows up to take up the head rancher position on Tate's failing property and he's anything but friendly but determined to keep a promise to his old man.
Soon, he falls for the beautiful widow.
"Like a jackass, I just stand there and stare at her. At Tate. At the woman I want but have known since day one that I should walk away from."
He can't help it though, and things get more complicated when she returns his feelings but the impact of the secrets Jack has been keeping could destroy the happiness they have found. It was a twist I hadn't seen coming.

Romantic story with unusual twists
An emotional story which had Tate a widow and ranch manager Jack, working out trust issues when trying to save a horse ranch. But both holding back important information which could destroy their developing relationship. I really enjoyed this story and the narrators did an excellent job in making it come to life. This is the second book I've read from this author and I'm looking forward to the next one.
