Summary
Once they had been called Orrice and Effel, two bedraggled, scruffy waifs who lived rough off the streets of Walworth. Now they were Horrace and Ethel Cooper, grown up - quite respectable really - and living with their adopted parents, Jim and Rebecca Cooper.
When Horrace saw the pretty girl who worked as a shop assistant in Adams (Ladies Fashion Modes) he was quite bowled over and knew he had to meet her. From then on he was in and out of the shop, buying hats and stockings and ribbons, trying desperately to persuade Miss Sally Brown to come out with him. And while he was laying siege to Sally, his sister Ethel was listening to her poet boyfriend spouting forth his romantic verse. But Ethel's involvement with the poet was to end more dangerously and dramatically than either she or Horrace had imagined, and several quite startling events were to happen before Horrace and Ethel's affairs were resolved.

Love listening to Adam’s family
I just love listening to the story and I love the narrator Annie the way she is into character.cannot wait for the next book .

These just get better
Feel like the Adam’s are part of the family and what exciting news to finish with can’t wait to start the next book. Excellent narration once agin. Can’t think of anyone that could narrate this better.

Another lovely story
This is another lovely story around the Adams family by Mary Jane Staples and I am so glad that Annie Albrighton is still narrating them as she has just the right voice and she really is professional with the microphone as some narrator's seem to get too close to the microphone making it very uncomfortable to listen in places. Looking forward to listening to more in the saga of the Adams family.

Narrator
I have thoroughly enjoyed these books and I love the fact that Annie Aldington has narrated all the books so far, changing the narrator can spoil the whole story.
Mary Jane Staples is new to me and I cannot wait to read the rest of her books

I love this series.
So well wrirren, Serious issues along side hilarious moments. The charecters are brilliant. Read so well also. On to the next book. Thank you.

Another great journey
Another fabulous journey through the lives of the Adams family. Hard to believe I found the very first book on this lengthy saga so boring! So glad I stick with it, as I’m really enjoying following their lives.
