About this listen
From apocalypse…
An act of terrorism unleashed an unspeakable biological weapon…and hell on earth. But as the masses felled by a hideous virus rose from the dead to prey on the living, a small band of survivors defied death and its ghastly spawn - determined to outrun the world’s end, and somehow begin again.
To Armageddon…
But beyond the undead-besieged shores of Europe lies something closer to damnation than salvation. Rescued from certain death at sea, the young Spanish lawyer, the beautiful woman he loves, and his brash, battle-hardened best friend - who have weathered the worst of the unnatural disaster - find themselves delivered from a world of horror into a stronghold of hate. In a United States ravaged by the Zombie plague and overrun by the undead, only Gulfport, Mississippi, offers sanctuary…for a price: Subservience to a fascist dictator and his brutal enforcers. But their reign of terror will soon be challenged. By rebels hungry for vengeance, and invaders bent on conquest.

Very good but...
Enjoyed all the books in this series (3/3) but the bizarre way the author sexualizes Lucia who is supposed to be a 16 year old in the beginning, I found really weird. The sexual relationship he puts her in with with a 30 year old was a bit unsettling. I think someone should keep an eye on the author.
Other than that the audio books are really good and keep you wanting more.

Excellent series
Excellent series, kept me gripped throughout. Characters that are believable and a storyline that rings true illustrating man's inhumanity to others.

Great zombie romp
Really enjoyed this series ! One of the best Ive listened to. Great characters and well narrated! The only downside was that there was easily room for another book in the series set between the downfall of greens settlement and the great ending of book 3.
Well worth a listen!

Brilliant Trilogy & Fantastic Narration!
Initially on starting 1st book I thought this was going to be a post apocalyptic story line similar to books I'd listened to previously - but realised after finishing the first book that it wasn't - it is much more believable than most undead post apocalyptic plots.
Nick Podehl is an exceptionally good narrator - very expressive and his portrayal of different accents is amazing. Will look for other books narrated by Mr Podehl.

I'm so confused
What was with the Koreans. The story really didn't need them. They were like a random added bit. I also found the racism very uncomfortable....
