Summary
Charley Willis was 13 years old when her parents were killed in their family home and she was found hiding in a cupboard upstairs.
Fifteen years later, Charley is marrying Seth Chambers. It should be the happiest day of their lives, a chance for Charley to put her past behind her, but just hours after the ceremony, she is missing.
No one saw her leave. No one knows where she is.
One thing is for certain…Seth is about to discover he doesn’t really know the woman he just married. And his nightmare is only just beginning.
A totally gripping psychological thriller that will keep you listening until the very last jaw-dropping twist.

Mediocre book
I struggled through 2 thirds of this book I felt although dreadful things happened to the main family nobody asked anybody obvious questions about these things. Excuses for this were because people were
"private" or things were "too personal" to ask anybody. Can you believe coming home beaten up and your husband asks if you want a cup of tea. This is what I found so annoying. I picked up during the last chapters. Although very predictable and not very exciting.
Narration really good

Good story shame about the narration
Story is ok but I had to stop listening for two reasons :
The narration of Charlie was awful - well narration of any female character .
The interactions were very glib
Shame , but it was just too annoying to finish .

disappointing "twist"
I really enjoyed the book. the only disappointing thing was the unrealistic twist that tells how a 13 thirteen years old girl managed to stabbed both her parents to death. I was hoping the "how" would be explained but it was not.

On the slow side
The overall plot was fairly good but I felt as if I was just wanting to get to the end because I was bored. It jumped around a lot. Didn’t have me gripped to my seat.

Keeps you guessing...
Excellent tale of secrets and lies, of families and fame and everything in between.
Well-drawn characters and a real guess-who at the end.

Unusual story telling
Took a while to get going and cope with the different reader voices. However, once hooked in I enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot.

Good storyline
Different to the usual psychological thrillers I listen too. I didn't guess the killer, until the very end. the ending ended too soon, there should have been another chapter or an epilogue, but otherwise, good.

Another great book by Wilkinson
I was having a bad week and an audio slump. I couldn't get into any books I started about 5 in a row and stopped them all. I've just finished this book after another Wilkinson book and My joy for audio has returned. It's an exciting story with lots of plots twists. Really enjoyed it
