Summary

The Werepuppy: A werewolf video leaves Micky terrified of dogs. Mum decides the only answer is to get Mickey a pet of his own. To everyone's surprise - including Micky's - she chooses a werepuppy. But Wolfie turns out to be a very special pet - and a real joker!

The Werepuppy on Holiday: Micky's pet dog, Wolfie, is a werepuppy - a baby werewolf who's always in trouble. When Wolfie is banned from the family holiday, Micky is distraught. What fun is a family holiday without Wolfie?

disappointed

What did you like best about The Werepuppy and The Werepuppy on Holiday? What did you like least?

I liked the fact that these books followed on from each other, allowing you to get to know the characters, and contained some humour.I least liked the dialogue which felt unrealistic for portraying how children/characters would really communicate and the narration was truly awful.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

There was very little expression, hardly any change in tone or style when portraying different characters. Narrator made it feel quite dated and old fashioned.

Do you think The Werepuppy and The Werepuppy on Holiday needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Possibly, although would not consider listening to any story by same narrator.
