Stepping stone

This book is just a stepping stone for the 3rd I think because it wasn’t a patch on the 1st but sets it up nicely for the 3rd, not the best listen but ok

Not as captivating as the first book

Similar to my review of the first book, I don’t really understand why this was presented as a trilogy. This second book felt like an excuse for the author to extort the reader - you want to know what happens next because it’s essentially a good story, but did the plot for this book really need to be a separate book/credit?

It’s an ok read but that’s about it, for me.
