About this listen

Drew Marshall may have let me move into his spare bedroom while my house is being renovated, but don’t think for one second his kindness comes without strings - big, ugly fake-relationship strings.

That’s okay, though, Dr. Andrew. I’ll agree to your terms, move into your house, and act like your girlfriend when the big day comes, but I also plan to make your life miserable - make you pay for what you did to me.

I may not be good at forgiving or forgetting, but I’m excellent at getting even.

Get ready to laugh until you cry with this sizzling, hilarious, closed-door romantic comedy!

Not for me

I really enjoyed “When in Rome” and “Practice Makes Perfect” so I was looking forward to this one. Honestly though, the story/plot is very weak and the main female character (Jessie) isn’t likeable or more importantly, believable. The reasons why she does stuff are just silly - you don’t care enough about any of them.

I’ll leave positive reviews for the other books because I genuinely enjoyed them but this one is a thumbs down.

Also - the performances weren’t great either. Sorry!

I really, really, really dislike this book.

If pulling out my eardrums, gouging my eyes out and emphatically cleaning my brain with robbing alcohol will help me forget this book, I'd do it!

First off, I didn't realise it was a book 2 to a book I had previously listened to, which was... mehhh, but this one was down right bad.

every detail is over explained, over emphasised and hella dramatic. At one point I had to make sure the characters were actual adults and not teens.

why was Lucy given a very annoying high pitched voice, when in her book she sounded quite normal? and all of a sudden Cooper has a strong southern accent that didn't previously exist.

Unfortunately I always finish books I start so imagine the torture when this book went on and on.

Definitely one of my worse listens.
