About this listen
Will is my fiance. The shy man I met years ago in college. The person I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life with. This is the life I've always wanted until finding a picture of four men changes everything....
Étienne says he's my husband and the year is 1912. He can't stand the sight of me, but I don't know why. Oh, and he's one of the men from the picture.
I've done the impossible and have become trapped in time and I know Étienne is my key to going home.
The more time I spend with Étienne, the further I fall for him until I'm questioning which time I belong in and if the life I left behind is the one I truly desire.
All I know for certain is I need to survive time. I need to survive love.
And I need to make it out on the other side alive.
Contains mature themes.

Brilliant
I loved this book. I am a massive fan of Outlander and thought I would give this a go for a change. I am so invested I am now onto her other series, having loved the next two books. Highly recommend.

Love this book!
I lost myself in this book. Time travel, love, romance, angst, steam... what’s not to love. Can’t wait for part 2!

Loved It
Who doesn't love a good time travel romance? This one is so different to all the other,' travels back in time falls in love and lives happily ever after.' I couldn't guess the outcome and to me that's a sign of a good story.

Brilliant book
I hadn’t previously read/listened to any of Calia’s books. I’m really glad I did. The author has amazing talent, and I will continue to finish this series then start on her other books.
Absolutely in love with this series and couldn’t sleep for wanting to finish the book. Onto number 2. Thank you!

Absolutely stupid heroinne
The story is not bad, but it is not easy to like a heroine who is something women were described in light literature in my youth. Like an angry teenager who never stops to think the results of their behaviour.
She is supposed to know something about history, but when she end up in time about hundred years ago, she doesn’t even understand how people dress, talk and behave those times. It ended my reading. I am not particularly endeared to stupid and childish heroines.

This was so badly put together. SPOILERS
This book is just awful. No character development, several plot holes, no likeable characters. Hated the narrator. If cerene grew up with the lacroys, why does she have a different accent and no one asks about that when she time travels? Cerene is happy to just leave all her family, doesn't even blink an eye. Cerene can swear and talk completely differently to the time but no one pulls her up on it?! How anyone can compare this to outlander is beyond me. Outlander is a masterpiece, this is hastily put together at best.

Didn’t quite work
I liked the way the story unfolded, an interesting time travel tale. I do think the people portrayed in the early 1900s showed far too many 21st century attributes and the sex scenes were far too graphic. And the end - well there were too many loose ends left hanging.
A shame, it did have real promise.
