About this listen
The companion novel to Rin Chupeco's The Girl from the Well, which Kirkus called a "Stephen King-like horror story".
After barely escaping the evil spirit that tried to destroy his soul, Tark vows to spend his life protecting the innocent. So when his mentor goes missing on a ghost-hunting expedition, Tark and Okiku join the search. But the Suicide Forest has seduced thousands of people to their deaths over the centuries and is thick with their sorrows.
With time running out and danger at every turn, Tark will either become a hero - or die trying.

Excellent
Great story and the narrator was really good. I loved this after hearing the first story of the women in the well which should be read first. Excellent author.

couldn't stop listening!
After listening to the girl from the well I was desperate to hear more about these characters so I was very happy when I came across this one its just as good as the first and I still want to hear more about them but the story ended well enough that I'm not bothered if there isn't another one. Its such a great story with strong characters and read very well 👏

Soul touching
This series was something very special, to some it may be quite scary as it was to me but it is also sad but happy too and I loved everything. The storyline is so clever and I only wish there was more🙏🏼I’d love to hear about the bad men the teen and his ghost have rid the world of and other souls they’ve rescued together. Absolutely brilliant.

Brilliantly written and narrated
To be honest, after I found it was a different narrator to the first one, I was wondering!
And when this narrator started with his breath, every sentence, it really got on my nerves, but I actually really enjoyed this better than the first actually, and was hoping there would be another so here I am waiting.
