About this listen
When the Saint goes fishing, he catches an unusual specimen in the shape of a young lady claiming to be Adolf Hitler’s daughter. And when the Ungodly also arrive on the scene, it seems clear the fish will just have to wait....
Leslie Charteris was born in Singapore and moved to England in 1919. He left Cambridge University early when his first novel was accepted for publication. He wrote novels about the Saint throughout his life, becoming one of the 20th century's most prolific and popular authors.

OK but not up to the usual Saintly standard.
This book is based on two TV scripts that were then adapted for book form. Although Leslie Charteris was heavily involved in reviewing and editing to bring them into line with his eponymous hero, and there are parts where you can see his touch, they somehow fall short of the original works both in terms of the plot and the Saint's character (the original Simon Templar would never have been taken in by Mildred Hitler!) Having said that there are many elements of enjoyment and John Telfer does as good a job as you could hope for in the narration (even though the script doesn't quite allow for the flow that would normally be present). Also, if like me you are a Saint fan it is a must for completing the collection.
