Summary

The Road is a chilling and highly gripping thriller from one of Australia's best storytellers.

Having previously written over 20 books, this author now breaks into exciting new territory with a menacing desert thriller.

A shocking and gruesome murder wakes an ancient evil in outback Australia. A truck driver, a schoolboy, and a retired couple on their dream holiday are among a group of travelers caught up in a supernatural time loop. Trapped on a long stretch of the Silver City Highway, just outside Broken Hill, they enter a nightmarish journey from which there seems no escape. Following the gruesome discovery of the bloodied and battered bodies of a young woman and a man on a property not far from the highway, the truck driver is forced to confront the very real possibility that there is a killer on the loose and then convince his fellow travelers that they are all in danger.

Neverending Road

This was a really creepy idea, and there was a constant air of suspense throughout the reading. Various people are traveling down a road when a recently separated mother tries to outrun a vicious ex-partner.

It doesn't matter how far you travel along this road, you never reach your destination. What are you going to do when you run out of petrol?

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
