Summary
Essie Smith-Scott, the author known as SS, has been the number one erotic romance writer in the world for the past ten years.
Movie deals, merchandise, dozens of books on the New York Times bestseller’s list, and the founder of the biggest romance convention to ever hit the planet.
Scoring an invitation to the Sin With Us Romance Convention in Las Vegas is the big break every romance author hopes for, and Cynthia Lear’s name just made it to the top of the waitlist. She’s in. And she’s gonna make the most of it. This is her chance to shine and propel her career into the stratosphere.
But then she meets Essie’s twin brother, Steve. Not only is Steve Smith handsome and charming, he loves her work—and he’s also…lying. To the whole world. Literally everyone.
Because his twin sister, Essie, isn’t the one who’s been writing all those super-spicy Master Choke books all these years—it’s Steve.
Written by New York Times bestselling author JA Huss and actor, author, and narrator Johnathan McClain—The Ro Bro is a rompy feel-good adventure through the secret life of romance authors and the conventions they attend. Prepare to laugh so hard you pee your pants. This is a story that will make you smile every time you think about it.
(P.S. If you’ve never been to the biggest romance convention in the world, well, now you don’t even have to go. Because they all happen just like this.) ;)

A really satisfying listen!
What a truly enjoyable story, cleverly weaving together romance (more flirty than steamy) with a bit of science fiction. Meanwhile, the ultimate fate of one particular character was, at once, the stuff of Greek mythology and an absolute modern-day nightmare, which added a bucket-load of darkness to an otherwise cheery rom-com. The narration was brilliantly on point! Thank you both for the excellent EOBSes!

Fabulous
Steve and Essie twins and famous romance writer
This is such an amazingly funny story about competitive writers and book fans and how very complicated life can become when a lie comes out and a really really vindictive author you hate but kinda love too lol
The things that happened to her 🤣
I just loved the book convention, the AI omg I thought was awesome reminded me of another, so clever and never to be underestimated but that’s another story 🤔
And the romance of course with the moral of the story written in Cords book
And of course the characters in SS book those names were awesome lol
Loved the bit with the couple from creeping beautiful 💜
The EOBS was of course fabulous and great to find out Terry and Shawn are real.
Such an entertaining and fabulous book
Thank you Julie and Jonathan you make a great team x

Love, love, loved this book
What a story, loved that there was references to other books I’d read, think McKay is my all time fave. Julie and Johnathan you have a way with words that I haven’t seen in other authors and as always the narration was amazing, totally draws you into the story ❤️❤️❤️

Gloriously uproarious!
This has just been enormous fun to listen to, and I know it will stand up to more than one play. Set in more than the world of book signings, it sweeps along, filled with so much humour and craziness that I have dedicated many, totally distracted hours to listening with complete pleasure. Bravo you guys! As always, John McClain throws himself into his narration, often quite loudly this time, extracting every moment of fun and reflection into a terrific story. Julia Whelan is a newer narrator to me, but she is absolutely fabulous! She narrates with skill, nuance and adopts a range if voices which is really quite amazing! A wonderful listen. 💖💖💖💖💖

"Gush is a real term"
Julie & Jonathan you have made magic again! I've been snickering the entire way through. Amazing plot, awsome twists, authentic characters and a world that held me captive and I'm sad that it had an end
