Summary

A special audio-first story collection

Bestselling author Shannon Chakraborty expands the acclaimed, Hugo-nominated Daevabad Trilogy with this magical compilation of stories from before, during, and after the events of the series.

Told from the perspective of characters beloved and hated, and even those never heard from until now, these tales of Daevabad enrich a world already teeming with magic and wonder.

Explore a kingdom hidden from human eyes. A place where djinn live and thrive, fight and love. A realm where princes question their rule, and powerful demons can help you…or destroy you.

From Manizheh’s first steps towards rebellion to adventures that take place after The Empire of Gold, this is a must-have collection for those who can’t get enough of Nahri, Ali, and Dara and all that unfolded around them.

Still smitten by this series and this voice actor!

I could go back to Daevabad again and again, to explore the development of characters I don't think I'll ever stop swooning for, to discover more about a magical world so familiar and yet so different from anything Fantasy has been able to give me. To hear the familiar sonorities of Arabic expressions or names of creatures I read about as a kid, smell the cumin seeds and coriander, the jasmine filled night scent of magical gardens... It feels like home and like discovery all at once.
Soneela Nankani does an amazing job at capturing the ambiance and the complexities of each characters, she does not overdo it but she puts subtle differences and incredible acting in each of them!!
This was such a comforting lovely gift, it explores grief and healing in such a beautiful and accurate way.
I dived back into this world as if I had never left it, so pleased to have some of my sapphic suspicions confirmed, so pleasantly surprised to see some new themes emerge... I love this series a lot and it's one that will always be close to my heart.
