About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
How often do you interrupt? How often do people interrupt you? Can you remember the last time someone listened to you all the way through your thinking?
In her new book, Nancy Kline, best-selling author of Time to Think, makes this radical proposal: 'I won't interrupt you' is a promise that changes everything. It deepens relationships, spawns dignity, raises the intelligence of groups and enriches every conversation. It may, in fact, be the most important promise we ever make. And the hardest to keep. This promise matters because when we interrupt each other, we interrupt our thinking, and that interrupts the quality of everything we do.
Nancy has spent the last three decades researching independent thinking and the barriers that prevent us from thinking for ourselves. In The Promise That Changes Everything Nancy shares insights into the nature of interruption, case studies and stories from her work with clients, as well as simple ways to change how we behave with each other so that this promise can change our lives.

Surprisingly impactful and powerful
I absolutely loved this book Its a simple concept, yet profound in its potential and impact. The author's deep experience and thinking on this topic is outstanding, it may be simple to grasp, there is a tremendous amount of depth and breath presented. While the concept may be simple (perhaps), it is definitely a hard skill to acquire. This audiobook has inspired me to begin the process of building this skill and letting it unfold in my life. I am excited as I sense it will be far more impactful and beneficial than I can even imagine.

A bit too long for the message
I loved Time to Think, which I read last year. But this one felt a bit too extensive here and there. Some chapters were beautiful but others seemed to need some editing. And I enjoyed listening to the author reading her book, to get a better feeling of her own feelings. In general, recommended if you don‘t know the work of Nancy Kline. But definitely not one to listen right after one of her previous books as it might feel repetitive.

Not as good as Time to Think - or rather, a waste of time
I bought this book after reading her masterpiece “Time to Think”, a really insightful book that changes the way I live, lead, and coach. However, this book seems to be milking on the success of Time to Think. Concepts are repeated and lots of words and paragraphs are “created” to make the book long…Very disappointing
