Summary

"My father had more than 50 children."

So begins the haunting memoir of Anna LeBaron, daughter of the notorious polygamist and murderer Ervil LeBaron. With her father wanted by the FBI for killing anyone who tried to leave his cult - a radical branch of Mormonism - Anna and her siblings were constantly on the run with the other sister-wives. Often starving and always desperate, the children lived in terror. Even though there were dozens of them together, Anna always felt alone.

She escaped when she was 13 - but the nightmare was far from over.

A shocking true story of murder, fear, and betrayal, The Polygamist's Daughter is also the heart-cry of a fatherless girl and her search for love, faith, and a safe place to call home.

One cult to another

it was good, but she seemed to go from one cult to another with Bill Gothard and IFLB, they are a cult too, who encourage the abuse of children (see blanket training) and hiding of sexual abuse (see Bill Gothard and Josh Duggar). I can't recommend it more because of that.

I wish the lady who wrote the book a beautiful life ♥️

Listened to it all in one day. Couldn’t put it down …. Terrifying to see how many of us have so much trauma from childhood .

Brilliant

This is so good , the insight to a controlling cult which leaves you wanting the writer to continue writing more secrets
I could honestly see a movie of this story .

Interesting insight into polygamy

Anna LeBaron speaks about her life growing up in a polygamist cult, it’s a bit long but certainly interesting to hear about her expeiences & hear her reflection on her childhood as an adult.
