Glorious
Robust characters, perfect scene setting, warm, not sicky sweet and fun. The superb narration brought each of the characters to life and you could almost imagine yourself sitting in the hot tub slurping wine with the old ducks and planning where you will be in your life in a years time.
I’d love to see this as a film.

This Old Duck loved it!
The perfectly predictable easy summer read. Brilliant characters with traits a lot of people could relate to. It made me laugh out loud and be thankful for my very own ‘old ducks club’.

Lovely gentle funny story
Such a gentle, funny, lovely story of a middle aged woman waking up to realise that she still has a life to live. She is ‘led astray’ by three new friends that she makes who show her that life doesn’t wither when your hair turns grey but if you want it to, it can get better or be different. If I could rent her holiday let I would, it sounded idyllic.

the narator Penelope Freeman
i enjoyed this very much being of a similar age as the old ducks! The story was good also the characters but made really good by the narator very clever with so many voices and acacents to manage !
I am now on the old ducks hen do and am looking for more titles narated by Penelope freeman.

charming, funny story
I had done a few thrillers and needed a funny light hearted listen - this fitted the bill completely.

Very Entertaining
I found this book great fun. The characters were all quite believable and allowed to be real people. Although I think Theo is just too good to be true!!!
