Summary

When Regan was a young girl living in the small town of Altus, OK, Kellan was just her brother’s best friend. Then the virus came, turning the world’s population into zombies, and he became so much more. They were only kids, but he saved her. Watched over her. Kept her alive. And nine years of living in the Oklahoma wastelands hasn’t changed that. Fighting both zombies and men, overcoming loss and heartbreak, and clinging to secrets that could rip their world apart, Regan and Kellan must work together to survive when a new and deadly group moves into the area.

Set in the same universe as the Broken World series, this new and exciting zombie apocalypse series explores what's happening in other parts of the country. With an exciting new cast characters, as well as a few familiar faces, The Oklahoma Wastelands series will have zombie apocalypse lovers begging for more!

Great Read

The Oklahoma Wastelands Series: The Complete Post-Apocalyptic Zombie Box Set (Oklahoma Wastelands) was a goo read by Kate L. Mary. This box set consists of; The Loudest Silence, The Brightest Darkness, and The Sweetest Torment. Regan grew up in the small town of Altus, OK; and growing up Kellan was her brother's best friend. Unfortunately a virus came that turned the world's population into zombies. For nine years they fight zombies and other people. I really enjoyed these books and can't wait to read more by the author.

pure joy

I have loved the whole series and getting to know all the new characters as well as some from another series. I haven't watched TV in weeks thanks to this great lot of books. Totally worth every penny and I think audible is the way forward and the housework still gets done. thanks Kate your stories are 5*

Attention grabbing

This series sank its hooks into me right from the start, and kept me rivetted throughout, and tho' 30+ hours seems a lot I was still desperate for more when I finished - clutching a box of tissues. The story really pulled at my feelings, making me laugh and cry, and feeling mad as hell at Andrew the villain, Kellan and Reagan's romance was lovely without dominating the plot. This was action packed, and fast paced and I fell in love with the characters quickly, I liked that it coincided with 'Broken World' and some of the characters appeared, with some great insight ino Emma and brady's lives in the included short stories. I loved this series and highly recomend it, it fully deserved the 5 stars across the board, with fantastic narration by Heather as always. I received this book it exchange for my honest review.

Nothing to see here!

I had to return the trilogy after giving it a really good go (nearly finished first book!). It was a teen romance with breathy and at times cringe/embarrassing, distracting narration. Child like impersonation of male voices. What happened to Heather Firth?
No Zombie action to speak of and so far away from the more vivid and 3D universe created in her Broken World Series.
In many ways it feels like the female characters are weak willed, waning ninnies who just want to be saved from the spittoon spitting villains and loved - by their male heroes. This brave new world is only full of straight white people who seem to remember how it was to live in the Wild West! Though a cursory nod to a black fella who arrived offered to help then left - laughing and muttering under his breath (sigh!). It is not set in this time so why do I see it in the writing?
Big step back in my eyes, not a series can invest my time in or recommend. I suspect the younger readers will find it unpalatable to be cast in such cliche type roles too. Sorry Kate missed the mark for me
