Summary
We all want to live long, healthy, and happy lives. But the path to achieve this - fitness and nutrition - is fraught with popular yet dangerously misleading myths about personal wellness. How do you separate the fact from the fiction? How can you recognize when you're doing your body more harm than good? Scientific knowledge has greatly expanded our understanding of how the human body works, laying many previously held ideas about fitness and nutrition to rest. These six self-contained lectures explore the myths, lies, and half-truths about fitness and nutrition, including myths about foods to fuel your exercise, proper hydration, eating and exercise habits, using vitamins and supplements, eating and exercise disorders, and extreme physical activity.
As you examine the pros and cons of various training and eating programs, discover new ways to be healthy and active, and enhance your ability to make educated decisions about your own health needs, you'll be taking an important step toward achieving your personal wellness goals, whether that means losing a few pounds or maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
With this ready and accessible tool, you'll gain a wealth of practical tips and skills you can use every single day to improve and enhance the way you eat and exercise. Join Dr. Goodman as he shows you powerful and true ways to transform your life for the better.

Fascinating course
Really interesting and useful info, delivered in sn accessible way. I'm not into sports etc but the nutritional and physiological knowledge was still fascinating and much better than many of the faddy diet books available.

Crackpot
Science doesn’t support his theories. Blah blah blah more words needed. Still more and even more

Dissapointing
The writer seems rather full of himself and in the end there was almost no information that is not already well known.

Highly outdated
Highly outdated. Modern science no longer supports most of the assertions made in these lectures. The author seems to mostly regurgitate the old mainstream views without going into the actual science supporting his assertions. I don't doubt the author is highly respected in his field, which is medicine and surgery, not nutrition and sport science.

Not for me!
What would have made The Myths of Nutrition and Fitness better?
If it were aimed at the general population and not athletes.
Has The Myths of Nutrition and Fitness put you off other books in this genre?
No, I've purchased and listened to Professor Andings' lectures on nutrition which are great.
What aspect of Dr. Anthony A. Goodman’s performance might you have changed?
Nothing wrong with the performance, the majority of the material just wasn't of interest or relevant to me
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Myths of Nutrition and Fitness?
Can't remember to be honest.
