Amazing books.
I’ve read this full series a few times over the years. Physical book, kindle and now audible. I enjoyed this book so much more being read to me as your mind can take so much more in. The story and plot are aiming as usual. I have to say this and the later books are my favourites. I am nearing the end of this now and feel quite sad. Have the next to start after I’ve finished so looking forward to that. Narrator at first took a while to get used to but loving his Nicolae carpathia impersonation.

Escaping The Mark!
This book is narrated by a different man to the rest of the series so far. In some ways this is better - he's very expressive, and can do all the various accents very convincingly. He has a different voice for each character, unlike Richard Ferrone who gave everyine the same American accent. He even pronounces Zion Ben Judah's name differently, ("Zeeon" instead of "Zyon") with the assurance that he is the one who is correct. The only reservation I had about him is that he sees fit to end almost every sentence in the same lingering, husky, cowboy-like tone, as if he's trying to sound "dramatic" and "mysterious". This is absolutely unecessary, as there are lots of different moods in the story, although a lot of it is nail biting drama and lots of dangerous adventure as the Christian characters escape the Carpathian Satan worshippers by the skin of their teeth. Exciting stuff!
