An incredible story
I was looking for a book on this specific subject as I’ve been revisiting Hemingway and Fitzgerald novels I read in my teens. The author of these lectures is a fantastically persuasive narrator, utterly convincing throughout. You feel you could reach out and touch the characters, their portrayal is so nuanced and respectful. So many stories, psychological insights, plus he seems to really love his subject. Fascinating.

One of my favorite podcasts
I loved this podcast and the insights we were given. Including the kind, calm voice of the narrator with the understanding he offers.

Interesting read, hideous narration
This is a very worthwhile read for those interested in this era and the great novels of the time. Unfortunately, the narrator is so awful - pauses after every other word and is not very engaging. I imagine the print copy is a more pleasant experience.
