Summary
The beautiful new story from the best-selling author of The Summer of Chasing Dreams.
Escape to a little seaside village, where the sea sparkles, the sunshine is guaranteed, and change is in the air. The perfect place to fall in love this summer....
Willow McKay needs a fresh start. Her recent break-up may not have left her heartbroken, but it’s wounded her pride. Desperate for change, an advert offering free homes in a picturesque village in Cornwall sounds perfect. Without thinking, Willow packs up and heads to the village of Happiness.
But when Willow arrives, she finds ramshackle cottages, empty shops and miserable villagers. It's nothing like the picture the advert had boasted. That is until she meets the handsome estate manager Andrew Harrington. His passion for restoring the village to its former glory is contagious and as sparks fly, Willow can feel herself falling for him. Will they succeed in transforming the old village to its original beauty before it’s too late?

I loved this!
I do love a Book by Holly Martin and this was a great story. Reading other reviews, I do understand why some people dont like the narrator, I will admit the first time I listened to penny Andrews it took me longer to connect but I persevered and now I won't hesitate to one click when I see her as the narrator.

The narrator is an annoying squeak
The narrator has an annoying squeak of a voice which loses all Nuance of the main character
other characters are given a better depth and tonal complexity but as the storyline revolves around the main character the whining almost lisping quality assigned to the narrative detract s from the depth of character and consequently the storyline.
why anyone would be employed to read an audio book with these tonal restrictions I don't know because it detract s from a feel good story and deminishes the overall enjoyment of the audiobook experience. Please Please please there are enough good actors out there to read these books with empathy and characterization that you do not haveo to resort to using those with restricted abilities to perform adequately enough to make our enjoyment of the audiobook book experience complete - story and narration.

So nauseously sugar-sweet and predictable...
The story - so nauseously sugar-sweet and predictable in combination with the the narrator's baby voice... really not worth the struggle to finish...

Not the best!
I struggled to finish this book as unfortunately the story dragged on and at times was very silly and unreal. Such a shame!
