Summary

In The Little Book of Breaking 80, the author, a struggling amateur golfer who finally discovered the true keys to breaking 80 after more than 30 years of trial and error, blows the cover off of the hopelessly doomed conventional approach to golf improvement that keeps most golfers stuck on the endless merry-go-round of frustration and failure. He provides a realistic blueprint for breaking 80 that any golfer of any level can easily apply and quickly see real and lasting scoring improvement.

This is not a book of swing techniques. There are plenty of other resources that teach you how to swing, chip, and putt. What this book does provide is a true framework for how to break 80 and consistently shoot scores in the 70s, based on sound principles that will work for any golfer of any level. Provided you faithfully follow and apply these principles, you will begin to improve surely and steadily, to the point where you will eventually gain the ability to break 80, not just as a one-time fluke, but over and over again as a reflection of your true newfound ability.

Very helpful perspective

Interesting view that makes a lot of sense. I’m going to give it a try.

Short game

It is really common sense but I was unfortunately trying to perfect my swing. Will now work on my short game. Can’t wait to see those strokes come off! Really enjoyed.

Scoring simplified

Statistics don’t lie and this book keeps things really simple. If you want to score well then practice and prepare where it counts.

Far too long

The book has some good advice, but is far too long.
The amount of repetition and recapping is ridiculous.
The message of the book could have been summed up in 1/4 of its length.
The narration was quite annoying. It sounded like it had been speeded up by about 50%.
There is plenty of sound advice here, but it is overly filled out with irrelevant guff.

Brilliant but very repetitive

Great stuff but reinforced far too much, could have been half the length. Content was fantastic though

Not Great

Very repetitive .I found the constant repetition very boring seems to be more about filling out the time gap f the audio book than really helpful.

This book is like listening to an advert on QVC

Repetitive almost sales pitch approach about what you should do that kind of contradicts some of its own points.

Verbose and repetitive!

This has clearly been elongated for no reason whatsoever other than to hit some magic word count figure that the publishing companies think is optimal to sell books. Just constantly repeating himself over and over again with slightly different wording, and often identical wording. Tedious! Keep it crisp and focus on brevity please!
