About this listen

Not all bad deeds can be undone....

Brilliant and beautiful Haley Burrows has just landed her dream job at a prestigious law firm, but someone is stalking her. When she finds her tires slashed, and a menacing message scrawled across her windscreen, she quickly realizes the situation has become a deadly game for her anonymous stalker. But she can't involve the police because she's hiding a guilty secret from her past that would instantly unravel her charmed life if it ever came to light. Ensnared by the lies she has built her life on, she is forced to rely on her own wits and intuition to track down her stalker before he makes good on his threat to kill her.

But will the awful truth of her past prove her undoing?

A riveting thriller with spine-tingling chills, twists, and turns to the very last moment!

Will you enjoy The Lies She Told? If you listen to any of my favorite psychological and domestic suspense thriller authors including K.L. Slater, Shalini Boland, Adam Croft, Kathryn Croft, Louise Jensen, or Rachel Caine, the answer is a resounding yes!

Gripping Listen!!!

The Lies She Told by N.L. Hinkens is a gripping listen. The premise of high school bullying consequences, revenge and guilt provide the perfect background for this book. Hailey is a victim of stalking in this book, with questions of who to trust. There is edge of the seat suspense, numerous suspects, and well developed characters. The book moves at a fast pace. Brittany Goodwin was excellent in her performance. She added the right emotions for the tension in this book. Her pace of delivery was perfect. I was very surprised by the ending of this book. I loved it!

Not a literary work

This is quite trashy to be honest, it’s written like a Mills & Boon. The plot moves fast so it’s worth listening to if you have nothing better on, but at 5 hours it’s quite short to waste a credit on and it’s instantly forgettable. The narration is really robotic which doesn’t help.
