excellent
From start to finish, this is a fantastic read. The narrator really brings the story to life. Didn't want it to end.

Enjoyable but biased in favour of Repeal 8th
I loved the story and narrator did great job. As you found out more about Imelda you began to feel some sympathy for her. She her own worst enemy. However only the arguments in favour of Repealing 8th were mentioned. The No voters not mentioned and Mary Magdalene theories play large part in this book which I don't agree with. They were mentioned in Orange Blossom Days but not as much as in this. Fair enough if that Patrica beliefs but don't force them on her readers. I can understand talking of Repeal the 8th but both sides of argument should be mentioned and it was innacurate to say no dancing and just mood of quiet relief . That was not scenes shown on news. Patricia entitled to her views but not to force them on readers. She forgot to mention when saying that women had control of their bodies that half of babies being killed were women who had no choice.
If she had left her personal views out of book would have given it 5*.

Long and boring
Worst Patricia Scanlan audio book I’ve listened to. Just plain boring with unbelievable characters. So disappointed as I’ve loved all of her books before purchasing this tripe.
