About this listen
A successful travel journalist, Bridget has ambitions to turn her quirky relationship blog into a book. But then a different proposition catches her eye.
Nicole Dupré died, leaving behind a best-selling novel and an incomplete sequel. Tasked with finishing the book, Bridget is thankful to have a chance to show what she can do, even if it means relocating to Cornwall and answering to Nicole's grieving husband, Charlie. But as she gets to know the family Nicole left behind, and the woman behind the words, Bridget's priorities begin to change....

Brilliant story, terrible narration
This is a brilliant book, spoilt by the casting of the wrong narrator. Having met Bridget in other stories this narrator just didn't match the character. Firstly she sounded older than Bridget but more than that, she made Bridget sound cutting/narky/aggressive which is so different to the bubbly character described in another book. Even the males seemed to be portrayed as moody. I found myself repeating parts in my head in the tone I felt the speech/thought/sentence should have been said. It was only the storyline that kept me from sending it back.
If you can get past the narration, this book is another great from Paige Toon.

Awesome book, terrible narrator
Massive Paige fan, absolutely love this story and this is another cracking read/listen. Cleverly written and great characters as usual.
As soon as I heard the narrator.... I thought this is not the voice or the age of the person she is portraying, she seems so much older and boring (sorry). So I agree with the other reviews, very good book but you will have to put up with the narrator.. Maybe buy it as a book instead.

Bad narrator
Narrator didn't seem to have read the book before she recorded it as she often paused in the wrong place and didn't always give the right intonation to the text she was reading. Also in common with others I didn’t feel her voice matched the character. I nearly gave up listening however, the narration improved but only towards the end. For me this spoilt the book which if read by someone else would have been much better.

Bad choice of narrator
Having met the main character in several other books the narrator did not match her at all and totally spoiled the whole story for me.

Romance and escapism at its best
This story was lovely, it had a real feel good factor. I did feel initially that meeting up with old flames to claim back the pieces of your heart was a bit much, but all that aside it was a nice story and beautifully read. Also who doesn’t love a happy ending especially with all the doom and gloom of recent times.

Another great
Paige hasn't let us down, this book is a wonderful story! I couldn't put it down, the 10 hours flew by! I loved Bridget, and fell in love with Charlie and his very cute daughter. This is a must read. Thanks Paige!

Loved this book
Wonderful book I liked the fact that she wasn't all lovey dovey with Charlie from the beginning it was a great friendship for most of the book.
I enjoyed the narrator with all her accents for the different characters.
