About this listen
Scarlett Grove presents books one, two, and three in the Last Alpha Queen series:
Rescue: Hell cracked open, oozing evil into the world. The human population is decimated. Dangerous monsters roam the land. Witches and vampires rule with cruelty and violence, and shifters have all but lost their magic. One reticent girl and a band of brothers are the last spark of hope in a world consumed by darkness.
Conquest: In a world consumed by darkness, death is not the end. Ghosts replace those who've been lost, turning entire cities into wastelands. When the dead take up residence, the living have no choice but to run and hide.
Triumph: Just when the alpha queen believes that she and her mates can return home, her victory is snatched away yet again. The desperate mother makes the only choice she can. Kayla Redclaw will go into hell and face the king of darkness himself.
Contains mature themes.

was ok
I like how all books were included together. the story was good. some parts felt rushed. I hated the s*x scenes if I'm honest. I found them really cringey and felt there was no build up emotionally to get them into each other. The story was OK other than that though, the main character was strong and independent and I wish the first book carried on more throughout the others. Her familiar was mentioned loads in the first book but hardly any in the others. The narrator was OK, I found some of her voices a little high pitch and she wasn't great doing male voices, but again it wasn't bad. I kinda feel it was a little meh... not a great book that I'd want to re read but one i enjoyed listening to while doing the dishes. "OK" is the best way to describe it. certain parts were so rushed when it came to the romance and falling in love, then other bits seemed to go on too long. It is a easy listen, one you don't need to think about. pop your headphones in and get on with other things while listening sort of book. I didnt spend a credit on this either, it was completely free. So I don't feel I lost anything from listening, it gave me something to take me out of my real life for a while, keep my brain busy while at home and the story as a whole was decent enough.
