About this listen

Archaeology student Chione has vivid dreams about the discovery of an opulent tomb. After the founder of the Institute of Archaeology learns that Chione’s dreams might be connected to events in Egypt, he accepts an offer to examine a mysterious site in the Valley of the Queens.

When they discover a burial chamber, ancient spells transport Chione and her ex-boyfriend, archaeologist Aaron Ashby, 3,500 years into the past. There, they learn of Tutankhamon and Tauret, a priestess in Pharaoh's Court.

Soon, Chione and Aaron learn that they have been chosen to play a crucial part in Tauret's plan.

When will the follow up Audio be out?

Till I got thus book I had never heard of this author and now I am glad I have. The story was very well written so that you as a reader or listener became part of the story and she was able to wrap the story around you the beginning to the end and make sure you want more a very special trait of an awesome author. The narrator was able to also bring the characters alive and it did not seem she was reading the book but you was there as an character or at a theater watching the show.
Growing up in the 50's and 60's we watched tons of movies about Egypt, Mummies, Pharoah, Queens and the best the mythical and magic and finally death in this one audible you have all of them.
At first some of the group were not getting alone due to the ability of one character who has the ability to dream and most of the time they come true and one dream was to have a child but she was not able to. In many ways this story is a follow-up of Harrell Carter who found the boy king who was murdered before having a male heir and was at the time looking for a women to give him this male heir. In the story you meet the boy king and his lover who was with his child when they both was murdered and she was buried in haste. As the story goes on it branches off to ancient Egypt, America and modern Egypt also you have many storylines that even thought they go everywhere in the end you have the most beautiful woven story tapestry of each and ever character growing as the story is told some dieing and some changing for most of the time better and finally you watch as the group are not individually but one big family who has learn to work and grow together with one goal.

I'm picky.

The reader is too softly spoken and sounds like a girl with not enough reading experience. The reader doesn't have enough definition between different characters, especially men.
It read a little monosolabically and a too fast. Because of her accent and her speed it's difficult to latch on to the story. I'm board, not engaged.

"End of chapter 3" show this isn't edited properly.

I'm partially through the narration, I'm not sure I'll finish.
FYI I have an Audible subscription and listen to many books.
