About this listen

When I turn up on Whit’s doorstep, résumé in hand, I’m expecting an informal interview, not a honey-dripped seduction. But that doesn’t mean I won’t grab it with both hands…

My older brother’s best friend doesn’t recognize me. To him, I’m still the kid he sends a gift card to every Christmas. He doesn’t want to hear I spend them on fancy lingerie. Or that I dress up and fantasize about him.

He’s determined not to employ me. But I’m not just looking for a job but also an experience. The kind that only he can give.

I want our days to be full of secrets and our nights to be full of sin. For six whole blissful months. After that, everything will change.

I only hope that when the truth comes out, he can forgive me.

Oooh, the feels!

Get ready for Whit and Mimi! This age gap, brother's best friend romance is hot! But it's not all about the spiciness, is it? Well, there is definitely a lot of passion in the pages of this book, but Donna Alam gives a story that is emotional and hits straight to the heart. Mimi has six months to explore London, and while there, she has a plan. Work for Whit, the crush she has had since childhood. Now at his flat for the interview, things are about to get exciting! Whit has no idea who she is, but when he realizes it, he does everything he can to keep her from being his assistant. Does that keep them apart? The wily ways of Mimi keep the man on his toes and in her bed, as long as both don't let their feelings get in the way. But what happens at the end of the six months? Will their hearts be too invested? And what will happen when Mimi's secret is revealed? Packed with emotional turmoil and playing with my emotions, Alam had me going. This is quite the book and is one sure to be enjoyed.

The narration of this story is fantastic and made the time fly by. Aria Holland is Mimi. A bit immature, a lot forward and sarcastic, this character is stacked with layers. Holland pulls out all the stops, from cheeky to emotional and is amazing at each one. Elliot Matthews had me from his first line. That accent is how would I put it? Dreamy. He creates Whit as the grumpy man with a heart and he is fabulous. This team created magic with their performance and made the listen for me.

A great romance

This was such a great romance! Amelia had moved to London for six months, and ends up working for her brother’s best friend.
This is a hot and sweet story full of k!nk, chemistry, banter, family, & heartache and loss.
I love the dynamic between Amelia & Whit. I love how crazy Whit’s family is, and how much he cares for them.
Aria Holland and Elliot Matthews did such a great job bringing this romance to life. The accents and depth for each character was great!

4.5 Stars!

When Amelia goes for an interview with her late brother’s friend Whit, things don’t go quite as planned. That interview though… just WOW! 🥵 Anyways, she’s only in London for 6 months and wants to fully enjoy her freedom and all that London has to offer for the first time in her life. Being a bit inexperienced, she turns to Whit to help her see more of London, as well as some much more exciting things. Meanwhile, Whit just can’t get her out of his mind. He hasn’t seen her in years but now that she’s here, he can’t stop himself. Having any sort of relationship with her seems forbidden due to a promise he made to her brother… but will he be able to stay away?

This was so fun to read. I loved the back and forth banter that Amelia and Whit had. I also loved their chemistry. Also, Whit’s family were fun when they were around. This book was such a fun vibe. It had some very steamy scenes, great pacing, and the characters and their back stories kept me interested till the end.

Narrated by Aria Holland and Elliot Matthews. They were both amazing. Matthew’s voice really fitted what I imagined Whit to be; powerful, protective, yet caring. Holland was also great at showing the inexperienced, yet strong and newfound independence that Amelia had. Overall, I enjoyed the listening experience.
