Summary

The Iliad is one of the two great epics of Homer, and is typically described as one of the greatest war stories of all time, but to say the Iliad is a war story does not begin to describe the emotional sweep of its action and characters: Achilles, Helen, Hector, and other heroes of Greek myth and history in the tenth and final year of the Greek siege of Troy.

A must for anyone with interest in the aincent world

a little robotic at times but overall very good. don't forget to get straight into the odyssey immediately after 🙂

it doesn't go through the end

Very disappointed as after over 14 hours listening, the story ends before the end.

Homer: The Iliad

This Audible translation bears no relation to the copy of the book - either Kindle version or Paperback. Very disappointed because this was the link on the version I chose for myKindle and paperback versions. If you’re going to put an Audible link to a book, at least make sure the Audible is compatible with the book! I will be cancelling my Audible subscription. It is useless!
