Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) was a Danish author, poet and artist. Celebrated for children's literature, his most cherished fairy tales include "The Emperor's New Clothes", "The Little Mermaid", "The Nightingale", "The Steadfast Tin Soldier", "The Snow Queen", "The Ugly Duckling" and "The Little Match Girl". His books have been translated into every living language, and today there is no child or adult that has not met Andersen's whimsical characters. His fairy tales have been adapted to stage and screen countless times, most notably by Disney with the animated films "The Little Mermaid" and "Frozen", which is loosely based on "The Snow Queen".

Due to his contribution to children's literature, Andersen's birth date, April 2, is celebrated as International Children's Book Day.

Editors didn’t bother naming the chapters

The stories in this children’s audiobook collection are delightful, and the reading performances are engaging and high-quality.

However, the lack of basic organization is downright frustrating. The editors didn’t even bother naming the chapters! Each track is just listed as “Chapter 1,” “Chapter 2,” and so on, without any indication of which story is which. This means I have to randomly guess or scroll through the audiobook every time my child wants a specific story. To avoid this, I had to create a dedicated note on my phone to keep track of what’s where.

It’s baffling that such an obvious oversight could make it into the final product. With a bit more care, this could’ve been a perfect collection, but as it stands, it’s an unnecessary hassle for parents.
