Summary
From the best-selling Maz Evans comes a new series about Scarlett Fife: logical, mathematical - but when it comes to her big feelings, completely out of control.... Heartfelt and hilarious, perfect for fans of Roald Dahl's Matilda.
Scarlett Fife has big feelings. And when she has big feelings, they explode out of her like an over-squeezed stress ball.
Scarlett's in big trouble after a big feelings episode leads to a runaway hamster getting into the vicar's trousers at her aunty's engagement party. If she loses her temper one more time, she's going to miss out on her trip to Mega Awesome Sicky Fun World, the best theme park on the planet.
But feelings are like slime in a party bag. No matter how much someone tells you to keep it in, it'll always find its way out. And very soon, Scarlett notices that every time she pushes her feelings down, something explodes. Like...really, properly explodes.
It might be her teacher's slimy green smoothie. A huge pot of purple paint. Or a massive pile of elephant poo at the zoo. And let's hope Scarlett doesn't get mad at aunty's wedding - that wedding cake is huge....
Laugh-out-loud action for every child and parent who have ever lost control of their feelings - this is sparkling and heartwarming.

Explosion
As an overall story it was a very good story but it was a bit rushed and repetitive I don’t like that it had no cats xoxo Tessa 😜😘👍

For parents and kids
The first 10 words grasped the attention of my 3 boys. They all loved it from there and we have listened every day since. Great narration, love the view through Scarlet’s eyes. Very clever and amusing

Absolutely hilarious!! 😂
This book is one of my personal favourites - a funny, enjoyable novel with plenty of helpful advice if you get stressed or angry. Scarlett Fife has a lot going for her - she has quite a busy life as her parents are divorced, and her step-dad Jakob (if that’s how you spell it) has lost his job and been sacked by the greedy owner of a successful business. Scarlett’s mother has to make ends meet, and cannot throw Scarlett a party. And on top of that, there’s stupid William U and the Star That Saved Christmas! (Her school nativity). But Scarlett has BIG FEELINGS and when she gets angry, things explode! Will she be able to control her anger without anyone realising, and pull of the play?
Yet another incredible book by Maz Evans, Great narration aswell!
