Summary
From Mike Talbot's journal:
"The End...has come and gone. This is the new beginning, the new world order and it sucks. The end for humanity came the moment the US government sent out the infected flu shots. My name is Michael Talbot and this is my journal. I'm writing this because no one's tomorrow is guaranteed, and I have to leave something behind to those who may follow."
So continues Mike's journey. Will he give up all that he is in a desperate bid to save his family and friends? Eliza is coming: Can anyone be prepared?

Just keeps getting better!
This was an amazing listen, just when I think this series can't get any better, it goes and throws in a plot twist that leaves me speachless, all I can say is I didn't see that coming! Fantastic narration by Sean Runnette, I don't know that anyone else could express Michael Talbot as perfectly!

how it all started
I absolutely love this series, I have listened to the whole set of books at least 8 times from start to finish, and excited to listen to the next 2.
I have felt like I'm part of the Talbot family and laughed and cried along with the whole families ups and downs.
I really love Mike's sense of humour. please keep writing these brilliant stories

Whole series so far is brilliant
These audio books hugely exceeded my expectations. I have read so many brilliant zombie/ apocalyptic novels and this series so far is up there with the best. Admittedly at first I wasn’t keen on Mike but his character has developed brilliantly and is a credit to the writer. The only negative if the relationship with his wife. The writer paints a extremely strong bond with each other and they have this unconditional love, tie that with a great understanding of each other’s roles in the relationship it should be a perfect partnership. Yet there is air of cruelty from her to him and he yields to her for somewhat nonsense reasons. That being said it doesn’t ruin the books at all just baffles me!
Fantastic reads and couldn’t recommend more. Off to start the next one in the series!
