About this listen
A frozen palace and a sparkling secret – an epic Russian adventure awaits!
Anna Orlov might be the luckiest girl in the world. She is the daughter of a Russian Count and lives in a beautiful snowbound palace that is home to a menagerie of wonderful animals: tigers, wolfhounds and, of course, horses. And she is also the owner of a beautiful heirloom – a diamond necklace with a secret past.
But when Anna defies her father’s wishes and secretly raises a young colt alongside her pet tiger cub, her actions will have far reaching consequences. And soon Anna, her tiger and her horse will be fighting for survival in the frozen tundra of Siberia…
An epic adventure of horses, friendship and sparkling secrets!

Great For Horse Lovers
I mostly enjoyed this book as my first on Audible for a number of reasons. I would highly recommend this book to adventure seekers and horse lovers. At the beginning, I found the book a bit confusing and not that good, but I continued and found that the real adventures and excitement is from the middle of the book to the end. The characters are very different from each other, which enriches the story with their complicated relationships and personalities. I would say that I would recommend the book to slightly older children, around 12+, though. This is because it was a bit confusing at the beginning and I needed several pieces of context to understand it. I found out that it contained a small amount of fantasy, but it was mostly realistic fictions. I thought the narrator was a bit hard to understand in the beginning, but I became to understand her more throughout the book. Again, I highly recommend this book to people who love horses.

Excellent all round
My 8 year old horse mad daughter got the book and she read along to this audio version which she absolutely loved. She listened and read a few chapters each night and she would excitedly tell me all about it in the morning. I will be looking up other titles by this author for her.
