About this listen
If you had the chance to hit the reset button, would you?
If a stranger told you they could take away your cancer, would you let them?
If paradise was gifted to you, a new life, a house by the lake, more money than you could imagine ever having, a wife whom you would eventually love, would you agree to take that deal?
There is only one condition. In 20 years you must give something back. You don’t know what that something is, and you never will until you need to give it.
All debts need paying in the end.
Everything has its price.

How much value would you place on your life?
In debt for half a million dollars to vicious drug trafficking brothers known to have brutally murdered victims for far less, Jack Monday is in fear for his life and, possibly, that of his younger brother. An unexpected email seems to offer a way out. A mysterious shadow on his screen tells him that his debt will be paid in full p!us more, if Jack will meet with him. 'You have something I want and I have something you need'. Suspicious, but seeing no way out, Jack goes to see his benefactor.
This is a darkly sinister and atmospheric horror story with strong sexual undertones. Well written, mostly, it engages with the creepy as well as blatant horror format although the latter part of the book felt less intense when the writing became more graphic. It was, however, compelling reading and narrator Scott Sutherland enhanced this with his reading.
Recommended to those who enjoy the more body form of horror stories: don't read it just before dinner.
