Loved it
My first ever purchase was Darkslayer omnibus. Over 200 books ago. It is very well done both the story and mr Allan brings this epic to life. Funny and sometimes a little vague only adds to the characters Brilliant how you can imagine in your mind the story and it heroes. Awesome.

mediocre story poorly edited
the story is nothing special, there's only so many times you can resurrect characters before death loses any real value as a story element. the narration is OK however the narators pacing and stressing is odd and there are multiple odd pronunciations that are also inconsistant eg a character being variously referred to as pall and paul in the same sentence. with regards to editing, between this and the darkslayer omnibus there are multiple repeated chapters and sections, background noise, interference on the recording, pauses so long I thought playback had stopped and found myself checking to see if the app had paused just as the dialogue started again. I assume missing chapters or at least paragraphs as some of the story seems to be missing but that could be from the text I don't know honestly the story was so unengaging I may have just forgotten major plot points. admittedly I was invested enough in the story to sit through over 130hours of listening but I drive 12 hours a day and have a lot of "ear time" to kill that being said it felt more like a chore to get through where as many longer form works leave me iching to get back behind the wheel so I can continue the story. In short it's marginally better than silence
