Summary

The triumphant, gripping finale to Stephen King's magnificent, epic masterpiece.

Stephen King's epic fantasy series, The Dark Tower, is being made into a major movie starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. Due in cinemas February 17, 2017 USA.

The final volume sees gunslinger Roland on a roller-coaster mix of exhilarating triumph and aching loss in his unrelenting quest to reach the dark tower.

Roland's band of pilgrims remains united, though scattered. Susannah-Mia has been carried off to New York to give birth. Terrified of what may happen, Jake, Father Callahan and Oy follow.

Roland and Eddie are in Maine, looking for the site which will lead them to Susannah. As he finally closes in on the tower, Roland's every step is shadowed by a terrible and sinister creation. And finally, he realises, he may have to walk the last dark strait alone....

You've come this far, come a little farther, come all the way, the sound you hear may be the slamming of the door behind you. Welcome to The Dark Tower.

Stephen Kings Masterpiece.

A story within many stories, an epic journey that brings together many characters from the world of Stephen King, enjoy the journey skilfully narrated by George Guildall who manages to bring the characters to life, setting the pace and delivering superbly. A story that touches every emotion but be warned if you have already completed the series to date then you still have more marathons to complete.

Stephen King At His Best.

Absolutely loved this series, I haven't read many Stephen King novels but I have seen slot of the movies. This series is different to what he is most known for (Horror/Thriller) I would say. However, you wouldn't know it and he not only pulls it off but in my opinion excels. Creating a story so encapsulating and different that you can't wait to read or hear what comes next. I also must add the the Narrator George Guidall does a fantastic job in bringing all the characters to life, something which isn't easy to do.
Thoroughly enjoyed.

Great Ending for a Great Series!

I really do enjoy this series of books. This book, number 7, has always been one of my favourites. Although the narater (is that right?) changed between two different people, both read really well, but I thought Frank Muller was better at the different voices and accents needed for these book. It is hard to give any specific pros and cons as it could give away the story. Included at the end is Robert Browning's Child Rowland to the Dark Tower Came, the basis for the whole Dark Tower series.

A real adventure I didn’t want to end

What an incredible story. These books have been part of my life for the last 8 months. I’m just sad it’s over. The characters are so real you bond with them and become part of their lives. Excellent listen and brilliantly written (although I did find the first book hard work)

Very good book but nothing beats no. 2 for me

This book was a good conclusion but it felt like since the 2nd book nothing has topped it, just not quite the same excitement. The final ‘big bad guy’ battle at the end was somewhat of a let down but the ending was decent.
