Narrator Teresa DeBerry's versatile voice goes from gentle to flashy, bringing out the individual accents of the characters in this mystery. Lee McKinney is starting over in Warner Pier, Michigan, helping her aunt at her shop, TenHuis Chocolate. When the local Chamber of Commerce plans a teddy bear promotion for tourists, they're certain that their chocolate teddy bears will fly out of the shop. But one night TenHuis Chocolate is robbed, and valuable antique chocolate molds go missing. Soon after, the antiques dealer who lent them the molds is murdered, and Lee's stepson is the main suspect. DeBerry deftly evokes Lee's intrepid charm as an unlikely investigator out to get to the bottom of things.
