About this listen
A whodunnit on board a pleasure boat.
The blurring of lines between our dreams and the real world.
The inexplicable appearance of faintly familiar people who we think we ought to know.
Or the odd story of a young girl who experiences a repeating cycle of bizarre events.
This collection of mysterious tales has something for everyone.
Some will chill you.
Some will pull at your heart strings.
All will make you think.
Come and meet this extraordinary cast of characters in...The Book of Names.

Overall good little listen
Overall this is a good listen for when doing housework or general bits and bobs, with it being short stories it is easy to keep up with. Some of the stories however were a little bit drawn out and some fell slightly flat with an abrupt ending but this can sometimes happen with short stories. However overall a good listen if you are looking for a book to keep you company and entertained whilst doing house work or when driving. I do however really enjoy the narrator, his voice really brings the characters to life!

A nice collection of short stories
I really enjoyed some of the stories and some were quite creepy. Unfortunately some left me feeling I’d missed something and was waiting for the twist or point that didn’t seem to come.
Great narration as ways by Nigel. Perfectly suited to tales like these with a great balance of sound effects to go along with it.
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.

A nice collection narrated beautifully
11 good stories that held my interest. A few have a very surprising twist at the end, one in particular that I wasn’t expecting.
I have listened to a large number of audiobooks narrated by Nigel and I will continue to do so. The perfect narrative tone, the brilliant characterisations, sound effect and music make these books such wonderful listening.

Short stories with excellent narration.
This book does contain sound bites and musical clips, though these were appropriate, I know some people don't like them. Several short stories, some of them are quite open ended and leave you thinking. I did enjoy this book. As usual Nigel Peever narrated this excellently, his voice is perfect for eerie stories.

A Good Collection.
This is a good collection of short stories from Richard Storry. They are a mixed bunch some better than others in my opinion but all are entertaining with twists and turns to keep the listener interested. Although short they are well enough written to develop the characters and get you on their side. Nigel Peever's narration and production is excellent bringing each story to life.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and voluntarily leave this honest review.

I wouldn't not recommend it -deliberate double-neg
This was an odd collection of stories, some better than others. i am no expert on literature or reviewing but some of these stories seem to take a long time to get nowhere. The narration was rather good if a little hammy, darling, but I guess it suited the feel of the tales. I've no objection to a little music at the beginnings of chapters but the noise running concurrently with the narration was annoying, distracting and even overpowering. All in all, it was quite entertaining though.
