About this listen
From the author of the Seven Sisters series, The Angel Tree is Lucinda Riley's compelling mystery of family secrets and forgotten pasts on the sweeping pastures of south-east Wales.
Read by the award-winning actor Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply)
Thirty years have passed since Greta left Marchmont Hall, a grand and beautiful house nestled in the hills of rural Monmouthshire. But, after a tragic accident, more than two decades of her life have disappeared from memory. When she returns to the Hall for Christmas, she has no recollection of her past there.
Then, during a walk through the wintry landscape, she stumbles across a grave in the woods. Though the inscription is weathered, the headstone still tells her: a little boy is buried here.
The discovery strikes a chord in Greta's mind, igniting a quest to recover her lost memories. A quest that will take her deeper into her own life, and that of her daughter . . .

Loved the story but
First I adore Juliet Stevenson unfortunately the accents used for various characters was grating. I’m sorry the accents of the various characters spoils the book for me. Sorry 😞

Emotional and perfectly told
This was a highly emotional story, narrated, by a master storyteller. It made me laugh and cry, and sometimes feel afraid for some of the characters involved and I never really guessed the end. As you can tell from my ratings, I loved it!

A bit long and some unnecessary content
As said in my title an enjoyable story but too many chapters of what is a pretty obvious outcome.

A Very Good Story!
This is my 7th book by Lucinda Riley and they have all been excellently written and fabulous story telling. I read The Angel Tree over Christmas. The story is set mainly around Monmouthshire in South Wales. Marchmont Hall sounded wonderful and I could picture what the beauty of the countryside must look like. Every woman needs a David in their lives, he gave so much, did so much and was always there through out Greta's life, a beautiful person. And I also loved the character of LJ. A very good story and I recommend. I thought Juliete Stevenson narrated this book very well and the book was a pleasure to listen too.

A great book
I enjoyed this book, and am a big fan of Lucinda Riley. The narrator was great apart from I didn’t like the portrayal of Cesca, which I felt was over the top and unnecessary. A good book nonetheless.

Incredibly enthralling story!
Marvellously written. Twists kept coming, plot kept thickening, and I was hooked until the very last minute!
