About this listen
Love, Lies, and Disinfectants! Cordelia Wainwright is a successful, self-absorbed actress with a neurotic need for cleanliness who learns that life and love are demanding and messy. Her story is one of discovery, deceit, redemption, and love. It takes the unyielding resolve of those who care about her most to teach her that love is not a dirty four-letter word but the greatest gift she could ever give and, more importantly, be given in return.

So, so, so, so good!
I was captivated from the opening line of this book. The narrative structure engages you and enables the reader to see events from multiple points of view, whilst still keeping Cordelia at the centre. The author gradually exposes and reveals Cordelia chapter by chapter until the reader fully understands her. This is sublime writing - funny, moving and at times heart-wrenching, I will be revisiting Cordelia and Aubrey’s love story often.
I really enjoyed Emily Wilson’s narration, she encapsulates Cordelia’s complex personality perfectly.

I was completely captivated by Cordelias character
I was completely captivated by Cordelias character. To capture someone as neuro diverse as her and keep her true to character throughout the book is/was an absolute pleasure to listen to. I enjoyed the way the story was fed in dribs and drabs keeping the listener engaged and keen to listen for more. This is more than just another romance as it expands your mind to see things from another's point of view. Well done to Kim Wilson. The only negative I have is the narration, which came across to me as over acted and not completely natural. It was a good listen but I feel the book would have been an even better read.
