Summary
Faerie godfathers are supposed to help young ladies find love. Unfortunately, no one told Lord Blackthorn that.
Effie has most inconveniently fallen in love with the dashing Mr Benedict Ashbrooke. There's only one problem: Effie is a housemaid, and a housemaid cannot marry a gentleman. Very Satisfying
There were times I wasn't sure about this book but I persevered and it was well worth it and has a very satisfying end. A suitable follow on from Half a Soul. Go read that first, it's lovely and then read the short stories between.

There were many elements of this book I liked, but lots dragged too. I’ll still get more by this author though.
