Sure, I might be a low elf. But that doesn't mean I won't get up to high jinks.
Daisy Carter knows she's not anyone special. She might be brave and resourceful. She might possess a touch more magic than your average low elf. But, when it comes down to it, she's just another delivery driver trying to make a living. Admittedly, life would be easier without her addiction to a dangerous drug called spider's silk—but she's got her reasons for that. Nobody's perfect.
However, Daisy's world changes when she crosses paths with Hugo Pemberville, the celebrated high elf who's well known for being an accomplished treasure hunter. He's also an arrogant idiot who deliberately destroys Daisy's life.
Before she knows it, she's thrust into a treasure hunting adventure that she could never have dreamed of.
Daisy is determined to succeed, even if only to show Hugo that he's not as good as he thinks he is. But treasure hunting is more difficult and more dangerous than she'd expected. And Hugo is more annoying, more skilled—and, damn him, more alluring as well.

Fun adventure
liked this story a lot, main character was sympathetic but not too perfect, likeable side characters and lots of fun twists and turns in the story and a satisfying romantic element too, can't wait for the next one, I want to see what happens next!

The Start of Another Great Series
A perfect mix of a good story, with characters that one can relate to and humour. The narrator was excellent. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

A story for teens.
Nicely written but definitely for the younger reader. A nice light hearted fairy story though and maybe the next book will be better.
