About this listen

Wesley Adam Smart is an eager, energetic, self-starter with an eye for success. Married to his beautiful wife Kim, they appear to have their finger on the pulse of what a successful relationship and marriage is and should be. As in many marriages, conflict arises when Kim has an affair due to her husband’s busy schedule, and the couple finds itself in the unenviable position of managing their emotions and trying to save their marriage.

Adam, which is the name he goes by, and Kim are living separate lives, and while they try their hardest to bring things back to normal, the trust has been severely damaged. Adam accidentally meets up with an old friend, Rufus, who has a penchant for getting into trouble and is always somehow involved in some nefarious conduct.

During their talk, Rufus introduces him to his female friend who also happens to be an escort (prostitute). Dismissing the idea out of hand, Adam does take the young lady’s business card and tentatively agrees to contact her friend, but does not, right away. Instead, he throws himself totally into his work when Kim has another failure of character. Feeling lonely and bored while in his office, he finds the business card he was given and calls the number. He is surprised when a lady answers and weasels his way out, or at least attempts to. She offers to meet him for a drink but first directs him to her personal website which outlines her price for services at some 800 dollars per hour.

At first he scoffs at the notion of paying that kind of money but withdraws the money from the bank and goes to visit her. While at her hotel, she attempts to entice him, but Adam seems more intrigued with the process than with the woman, though he is extremely turned on by her. True to Adam’s character, he does not have sex with her, but she offers herself and her services whenever he wants or needs her. He leaves with only an 800-dollar kiss.

As time passes, he and Kim have fallen into a routine of “don’t ask, don’t tell”, where Kim is constantly out doing her thing, and he is usually at home with the children and the housekeeper when he decides, once and for all, he is going to have sex with “Eve”, the escort.

Adam ultimately offers her an apartment, and she agrees to be his alone; however, he is not ever allowed to leave his wife. Surprised by the suggestion, Adam asks for clarification, and Eve explains that she is his and his alone, but he cannot leave his wife under any circumstances. He agrees and they live and love happily ever after.
